Call for Students: Partecipa all’EC2U Forum 2025 a Coimbra

(English below) Sei appassionato di sostenibilità, collaborazione internazionale e del futuro delle nostre comunità? Non perdere l’opportunità di partecipare al Forum EC2U "Preparing Communities for a Sustainable Tomorrow”, ospitato dall’Università di Coimbra (Portogallo) dal 19 al 21 maggio 2025.

L’EC2U Forum è l’evento principale dell’Alleanza EC2U (European Campus of City-Universities), di cui l'Università di Pavia è partner, e che ogni anno riunisce studenti, docenti, staff e partner delle Università dell’Alleanza per rafforzare il dialogo su questioni sociali europee urgenti e per condividere buone pratiche. 

Gli studenti selezionati parteciperanno alla EC2U Student Challenge, legata quest’anno all’UN SDG #11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, scegliendo una fra le sei tematiche proposte, per trovare risposte concrete e soluzioni innovative ai temi proposti. 

1. Energia rinnovabile e accessibile: come possono università e studenti contribuire a sviluppare soluzioni energetiche rinnovabili e accessibili?
2. Affrontare l'eco-ansia: come mitigare i problemi di salute mentale nel mondo universitario e aiutare le persone a far fronte all’eco-ansia?
3. Trasporto urbano sostenibile: come promuovere opzioni di mobilità più ecologiche, inclusive e sostenibili?
4. Sensibilizzazione ambientale: in che modo le iniziative studentesche possono avere un impatto a livello ambientale e ispirare un cambiamento sociale più ampio?
5. Il ruolo di arte e media: in che modo l'espressione creativa può favorire l'impegno e la cittadinanza attiva per azioni sostenibili?
6. Spazi verdi per gli studenti: come possono le università sviluppare una solida cultura degli spazi verdi nei loro campus?

Criteri di selezione 

• Studenti UniPv iscritti a corsi di laurea triennale o master indicati nella scheda informativa
• Livello di inglese B1 o superiore.
• Motivazione e interesse nelle tematiche del Forum.

In caso di candidature superiori ai posti disponibili, sarà data priorità agli studenti che non hanno ancora effettuato una mobilità EC2U.

Borsa di studio e supporto

Gli studenti selezionati riceveranno una borsa di studio finanziata da EC2U, che coprirà le spese di viaggio, vitto e alloggio per 5 giorni. La partecipazione al Forum e alle varie attività è gratuita.

Call for students: Join the EC2U Forum 2025 in Coimbra!

Are you passionate about sustainability, international collaboration, and the future of our communities? Don’t miss the opportunity to take part in the EC2U Forum "Preparing Communities for a Sustainable Tomorrow", hosted by the University of Coimbra (Portugal) from May 19 to 21, 2025.  

The EC2U Forum is the flagship event of the EC2U Alliance (European Campus of City-Universities), of which UniPv is a partner. Every year, this event brings together students, faculty, staff, and partners from the Alliance’s universities to strengthen dialogue on pressing European social issues and share best practices.  

Selected students will participate in the EC2U Student Challenge, which this year focuses on UN SDG #11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities. Participants will choose one of six proposed topics to develop concrete responses and innovative solutions to key sustainability challenges.  

1. Renewable and affordable energy solutions: how can universities and students   contribute to develop renewable and affordable energy solutions?
2. How to Cope with eco-anxiety: how to mitigate mental health issues in  academia and help individuals to cope with eco-anxiety? 
3. Ideas for sustainable and clean city transportation: How to promote greener, more inclusive and sustainable mobility options?
4. Make everyone aware of their role in helping the earth: How can student-led  initiatives create tangible environmental impact and inspire broader societal change?
5. The role of arts, media and communication: How can creative expression foster engagement and active citizenship for sustainable actions?
6. Creating green spaces for students to combat sustainability challenges: How can universities develop a strong culture of green spaces in their campuses?

Selection criteria

• Bachelor’s or Master’s students enrolled at the University of Pavia in one of the study programs listed in the information sheet.
• B1 level of English or higher.
• Motivation and interest in the Forum's topics. 

If the number of applications exceeds the available spots, priority will be given to students who have not yet participated in an EC2U mobility program.

Scholarships and support

Selected students will receive a grant funded by EC2U, covering travel, meals, and accommodation expenses for five days. Participation in the Forum and all activities is free of charge.
