Apre il bando EC2U Virtual Institutes Seed Grants 2026: fino a 5mila euro per sviluppare nuove proposte progettuali europee
(English below) È aperta la call EC2U Virtual Institutes Seed Grants 2026, un'opportunità dedicata ai docenti dell'Ateneo per sviluppare nuove progettualità europee in collaborazione con le università partner dell'Alleanza EC2U (European Campus of City-Universities).
L'iniziativa rientra nell’ambito degli EC2U Virtual Institutes, network accademici interdisciplinari dedicati a sviluppare proposte progettuali innovative per rispondere alle principali sfide della società, in linea con gli Obiettivi di Sviluppo Sostenibile dell'Agenda 2030 delle Nazioni Unite.
L'iniziativa EC2U Virtual Institutes Seed Grants mette a disposizione un contributo di 5mila euro a proposta, per sostenere le attività preparatorie necessarie a presentare progetti europei, coordinati dall'Università di Pavia e sviluppati con almeno altre due università dell'Alleanza EC2U. I finanziamenti potranno essere utilizzati per missioni internazionali, organizzazione di workshop, conferenze e incontri progettuali o consulenze specialistiche finalizzate alla scrittura della proposta.
Il bando EC2U Virtual Institutes Seed Grants intende promuovere la progettazione congiunta nell'ambito dell'Alleanza EC2U e la partecipazione dell'Università di Pavia a progetti Erasmus+ KA2 o KA3 incentrati sulle tematiche dei Virtual Institutes dell’Alleanza. L'obiettivo è rafforzare la partecipazione dell'Ateneo ai principali programmi europei, tra cui Erasmus+, CERV e Creative Europe, favorendo la nascita di nuove collaborazioni internazionali.
Chi può partecipare
Il bando è rivolto a professori ordinari e associati, ricercatori a tempo determinato di tipo A e B e RTT dell'Università di Pavia. Le proposte dovranno essere coerenti con uno degli EC2U Virtual Institutes e prevedere la successiva presentazione, entro dodici mesi dall'assegnazione del contributo, di un progetto europeo coordinato da UniPv.
Per candidarsi è necessario inviare all'indirizzo ec2u@unipv.it il formulario di candidatura e le lettere di impegno delle università partner EC2U coinvolte nel progetto, indicando nell'oggetto dell'e-mail "CANDIDATURA EC2U Virtual Institutes Seed Grants 2026".

EC2U Virtual Institutes Seed Grants 2026: up to €5,000 to develop new European project proposals
The EC2U Virtual Institutes Seed Grants 2026 call is now open, offering University of Pavia academic staff the opportunity to develop new European project proposals in collaboration with partner universities of the EC2U Alliance (European Campus of City-Universities).
The initiative is part of the EC2U Virtual Institutes, interdisciplinary academic networks dedicated to developing innovative projects addressing the major challenges facing society, in line with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The EC2U Virtual Institutes Seed Grants scheme provides €5,000 per selected proposal to support the preparatory activities required for the development of European project applications coordinated by the University of Pavia and involving at least two other EC2U partner universities. Funding may be used to cover international mobility, the organisation of workshops, conferences and project meetings, as well as consultancy services supporting proposal writing.
The EC2U Virtual Institutes Seed Grants call aims to foster joint project development within the EC2U Alliance and encourage the University of Pavia's participation in Erasmus+ KA2 and KA3 projects related to the themes of the EC2U Virtual Institutes. More broadly, it seeks to strengthen the University's involvement in major European funding programmes - including Erasmus+, CERV and Creative Europe - while promoting the development of new international collaborations.
Who can apply?
The call is open to Full and Associate Professors, fixed-term researchers (RTD-A and RTD-B), and RTT researchers at the University of Pavia. Proposals must be aligned with one of the EC2U Virtual Institutes and lead to the submission, within twelve months of the grant award, of a European project coordinated by the University of Pavia.
To apply, candidates must submit the application form together with the letters of commitment from the EC2U partner universities involved in the proposal by email to ec2u@unipv.it, using the subject line: "APPLICATION – EC2U Virtual Institutes Seed Grants 2026".
