Tirocinio curriculare all'Università di Pavia: la voce degli studenti

(English below) L’Università di Pavia offre ogni anno ai propri studenti regolarmente iscritti la possibilità di svolgere un tirocinio curriculare della durata di sei mesi all’interno delle proprie strutture.

Tra i ragazzi che hanno sfruttato questa possibilità anche Murad, che ha da poco terminato il suo tirocinio presso il Center for Global Strategic Engagement (GLOBEC) dell’Università di Pavia, occupandosi delle attività collegate a EC2U (European Campus of City Universities).

Ecco il racconto della sua esperienza:

«Sono passati poco più di 2 mesi da quando ho terminato il mio stage all’interno dell’Alleanza EC2U negli uffici del Center for Global Strategic Engagement (GLOBEC) dell’Università di Pavia. Devo dire che in questi 6 mesi sono cambiato parecchio. Lavorare negli uffici dell'Università mi ha permesso di toccare con mano cosa succede 'dietro le quinte e di scoprire chi sono le persone con cui ho avuto scambi di posta elettronica in passato quando mi accingevo a intraprendere la mia esperienza Erasmus+. Ho avuto l'opportunità di comprendere meglio il processo di internazionalizzazione nell'università, cosa sia veramente un'alleanza europea e quali sono i diversi obiettivi dei progetti di cui beneficiano gli studenti e come vengono elaborati, proposti e realizzati.

Durante il periodo di tirocinio i miei compiti si sono concentrati principalmente nel supportare l'organizzazione di eventi, scrivere reportage e articoli di cronaca, accogliere e guidare ospiti dalle università partner e cercare di essere di aiuto per il loro soggiorno a Pavia. È stato interessante lavorare in un ambiente così dinamico; abbiamo inoltre superato periodi di stress e periodi ricchi di attività senza grossi problemi. Poter avere una comunicazione aperta con i supervisori è stato utile e ho trovato i colleghi in ufficio molto gentili e disponibili. Ho ricevuto supporto durante il periodo che ho trascorso al GLOBEC e ho avuto anche la possibilità di condividere alcune mie idee durante eventi e convegni organizzati dall'Università e di svilupparne di nuove. 

La parte più emozionante del tirocinio è stato il periodo maggio-giugno, quando si sono svolti vari eventi EC2U (Forum e Settimana degli studenti) e ho avuto la possibilità di viaggiare e parteciparvi. In queste occasioni ho potuto mettere in pratica le mie capacità interpersonali e interculturali e affinarle, incontrando e socializzando con molte persone di diversa provenienza in situazioni che non avrei vissuto al di fuori di queste iniziative.

Questo periodo è stato per me ricco di esperienze. Segnalo a chi volesse partecipare che – come ben specificato nel bando – lo svolgimento dell'attività di tirocinio formativo curriculare non dà luogo ad alcun rapporto di lavoro e prevede un contributo mensile di € 280,00, erogato a titolo di rimborso spese. Mi auguro che nel tempo questa somma possa essere incrementata anche a beneficio degli studenti con minori possibilità economiche che desiderino intraprendere questo tipo di percorso.

Consiglio a tutti gli studenti dell'UniPv di considerare questa opportunità, in particolare a coloro che hanno una mentalità internazionale, vorrebbero scoprire di più su ciò che sta facendo la nostra Università e sono interessati a EC2U!»

Every year, the University of Pavia offers its regularly enrolled students the opportunity to carry out a curricular six months internship within its facilities.

Among the students who took advantage of this opportunity was Murad, who recently finished his internship at the Center for Global Strategic Engagement (GLOBEC) of the University of Pavia, dealing with activities related to EC2U (European Campus of City Universities).

Here is the story of his experience:

«It’s been a little over 2 months since I’ve finished my internship within the EC2U alliance in the Center for Global Strategic Engagement (GLOBEC) offices at the University of Pavia. I have to say that in these 6 months I’ve changed quite a lot. Working in the offices of the University gave me first-hand experience on what happens “behind the scenes” and who are the people with whom I had email exchanges in the past when I was going to embark on my Erasmus+ experience. I had the opportunity to better understand the internationalization process in the university, what truly is an European alliance and what are the different objectives of the projects that students benefit from and how they are elaborated, proposed, and crafted.

During my internship period my tasks were mostly focused on supporting the  organization of events, writing reports and news articles, welcoming and guiding guests from partner universities and trying to be of help for their stay in Pavia.  It was interesting to work in such a dynamic environment, and we managed to go through periods of stress and activity packed periods without major issues. Trying to have open communication with the supervisors was helpful, and I found the colleagues in the office to be very kind and helpful. I found help and guidance during the period I spent there, and I had the chance also to share some of my ideas during events and conferences organized by the University and develop new ones.

The most exciting part of the internship was the period May-June when various EC2U events (Forum and Student’s Week) took place, and I had the chance to travel and participate in them. In these events, I was able to put in practice my inter-personal and inter-cultural abilities and to refine them, as I met and socialized with lots of people from different backgrounds in situations that I would not encounter outside of these events. 

This period was full of experiences for me. I would like to point out to anyone wishing to participate that - as clearly specified in the announcement - carrying out the curricular training internship activity does not give rise to any employment relationship and involves a monthly contribution of €280.00, paid as reimbursement of expenses. I hope that over time this sum can also be increased for the benefit of students with fewer financial possibilities who wish to undertake this type of path.

I recommend to all the students of UniPv to consider this opportunity, particularly those who have an international mind, would like to discover more about what our University is doing and are interested in EC2U!»
