Bando per l'ammissione al corso di dottorato nazionale "One Health Approaches to Infectious Diseases and Life Science Research" 40° Ciclo (Anno Accademico 2024/2025)
(English below) È online sul sito dedicato ai dottorati di ricerca il bando di concorso per l’ammissione al corso di dottorato di interesse nazionale in One Health Approaches to Infectious Diseases and Life Science Research – 40° ciclo (anno accademico 2024/2025) con sede amministrativa presso l’Università degli Studi di Pavia.
Sono disponibili 30 borse di studio e 2 posti senza borsa per candidati altamente motivati a intraprendere un percorso di ricerca sulle malattie infettive e le science biomediche in un’ottica One Health.
L’Università degli Studi di Pavia partecipa come capofila a questo percorso formativo di eccellenza, promosso da un consorzio composto complessivamente da 15 atenei italiani e 9 enti di ricerca. Tra questi, anche l'Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS), il Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), l’Associazione Istituti Zooprofilattici Sperimentali (AIZS) e altri membri del Partenariato Esteso PNNR INF-ACT.
Il corso di Dottorato mira a formare una comunità di scienziati capaci di svolgere ricerca di base, clinica ed epidemiologica, e di sviluppare nuove tecniche diagnostiche e opzioni terapeutiche per il controllo delle malattie infettive.
Sarà strutturato in 5 diverse aree tematiche:
- Emerging and re-emerging viral threats,
- Arthropod vectors and vector-borne pathogens,
- Antimicrobial resistance (AMR),
- Epidemiology, monitoring and modelling (EPI-MOD),
- New therapeutic strategies.
I candidati hanno la possibilità di esprimere una preferenza rispetto all’area tematica e alla sede presso cui svolgere il percorso dottorale.
La scadenza per la presentazione delle domande è il 26 luglio 2024 alle ore 13:00 CET.

Call for applications to be admitted to the national PhD Program in One Health Approaches to Infectious Diseases and Life Science Research - 40th Cycle (Academic Year 2024/2025)
The call for applications to be admitted to the national PhD program in One Health Approaches to Infectious Diseases and Life Science Research, administered by the University of Pavia, for the 40th cycle (academic year 2024/2025) is available on the website dedicated to PhD.
There are 30 full-funded scholarships and 2 positions without scholarships available for highly motivated candidates wishing to start a research path focusing on infectious diseases and biomedical sciences from a One Health perspective.
The University of Pavia is leading this prestigious training programme, which is promoted by a consortium of 15 Italian universities and 9 research institutions. The consortium includes prominent members such as the National Institute of Health (ISS), the National Research Council (CNR), Associazione Istituti Zooprofilattici Sperimentali (AIZS), and other members of the Extended Partnership PNNR INF-ACT.
The PhD programme aims to develop a community of scientists capable of conducting basic, clinical, and epidemiological research and to develop new diagnostic techniques and therapeutic options for controlling infectious diseases.
The programme will be structured into five thematic areas:
- Emerging and re-emerging viral threats,
- Arthropod vectors and vector-borne pathogens,
- Antimicrobial resistance (AMR),
- Epidemiology monitoring and modelling (EPI-MOD),
- New therapeutic strategies.
Candidates can express their preference for the thematic area and the location where they wish to pursue their doctoral studies.
