L’Alleanza EC2U brinda all’anno nuovo e guarda alle sfide future
(English below) Giovedì 19 dicembre si è tenuto l’ultimo evento 2024 dell’Alleanza EC2U, per presentare attività, impatto locale e sfide future. L’Aula Disegno dell’Università di Pavia ha accolto docenti, ricercatori, personale tecnico amministrativo, partner associati coinvolti nei vari gruppi di lavoro e altri membri della comunità accademica.
L’evento è stato introdotto dalla Prof.ssa Antonella Forlino, Pro-Rettrice all’Internazionalizzazione, che ha ripercorso gli ultimi mesi d’intenso lavoro ringraziando tutte le persone che a vario titolo hanno contribuito a sviluppare progetti e iniziative dell’Alleanza. Alessandra Fuccillo, assessora con delega ai Rapporti con le università del Comune di Pavia, ha ribadito l’importanza della stretta collaborazione tra le due istituzioni e l’intento di sostenere UniPv e l’Alleanza nella spinta all’internazionalizzazione. La parola è passata a Lisa Schivalocchi, rappresentante degli studenti EC2U per UniPv e membro dello Student Council, che ha sottolineato l’importanza di aprire la città agli studenti internazionali offrendo loro supporto logistico e accoglienza.
Alberto Forte - coordinatore EC2U Unit UniPv - ha fatto un focus sulle prospettive della progettazione congiunta, mentre la collega Giulia Falchi ha ripercorso gli ultimi quattro anni attraverso l’esperienza svolta in qualità di local coordinator, sottolineando il valore umano che l’Alleanza porta con sé. Una rete fatta di persone e relazioni, costruite nel tempo attraverso la continua collaborazione tra i gruppi di lavoro delle università partner.
L’evento si è concluso con una poster session, per offrire a tutti i partecipanti la possibilità di approfondire il lavoro fatto e i progetti in itinere condotti dai diversi gruppi di lavoro. Domande e curiosità non sono mancate, così come l’occasione di un brindisi per scambiare gli auguri di buone feste. Ci ritroviamo nel 2025, con un nuovo anno ricco di novità.

EC2U Alliance Wraps Up 2024: Reflections, Achievements, and Future Perspectives
On Thursday, December 19, the EC2U Alliance organized in UniPv the last event of 2024, showcasing activities, local impact, and future challenges. Aula Disegno hosted professors, researchers, administrative and technical staff, EC2U associated partners and other members of the academic community.
The event was introduced by Professor Antonella Forlino, Vice-Rector for Internationalization, who reflected on the past months of intense work, thanking everyone who contributed in various ways to the development of the Alliance's projects and initiatives. Alessandra Fuccillo, Councilor for University Relations for the Municipality of Pavia, emphasized the importance of close collaboration between the two institutions and the commitment to supporting UniPv and the Alliance in promoting internationalization.
The floor was then passed to Lisa Schivalocchi, EC2U student representative for UniPv and a member of the Student Council, who highlighted the importance of opening the city to international students by offering them logistical support.
Alberto Forte, Coordinator of the EC2U Unit at UniPv, focused on the prospects of joint project development, while his colleague Giulia Falchi went through the past four years of her experience as a Local Coordinator, emphasizing the human value that the Alliance fosters. She described a network built on people and relationships, strengthened over time through continuous collaboration among the partner universities' working groups.
The event concluded with a poster session, giving all participants the opportunity to delve deeper into the completed work and ongoing projects led by the various working groups. The session sparked questions, curiosity, and discussions, ended with a celebratory toast to exchange holiday greetings. The EC2U community looks forward to reconvening in 2025 for another year full of new opportunities and initiatives.
