9 studenti UniPv al primo Student Event di EC2U a Iași
(English below) Nove studenti dell'Università di Pavia hanno partecipato al primo EC2U Student Event "Shaping the Future through EU Elections" organizzato dall’Alleanza Europea Universitaria EC2U presso l'Università Alexandru Ioan Cuza" di Iași (Romania) dal 15 al 17 maggio 2024.
L’evento ha riunito più di 80 studenti delle 8 Università partner dell'Alleanza e due rappresentanti degli studenti dell'Università Ivan Franko di Lviv, uno dei partner associati di EC2U.
L’evento si è focalizzato sulle prossime elezioni europee, con la simulazione di un dibattito del Parlamento europeo, coordinato dalla sezione locale dell'associazione studentesca ELSA di Iași.
«Lo Student Event all’Università Alexandru Ioan Cuza in Romania è stato molto ben organizzato e illuminante. Abbiamo potuto sperimentare un ipotetico dibattito parlamentare europeo in gruppi di colleghi di vari paesi. Inoltre, sono stati organizzati altri eventi, come un tour della città, attività sportive, conferenze e così via. È stato un evento molto bello, ho fatto molte amicizie e ho imparato molto. Sono estremamente grata di essere stata selezionata per partecipare.» Madelyn Kaye Bourdeau, studentessa di World Politics and International Relations.
«L’EC2U Student Event a Iași è stata un'esperienza straordinaria. Dato che le elezioni dell'UE sono dietro l'angolo, abbiamo avuto la possibilità di discutere come possiamo aumentare la presenza e la qualità dei processi di voto. Abbiamo lavorato in diverse squadre, ho imparato tanto e mi sono divertita molto a partecipare a questo evento», Ismit Ara Jiniya, studentessa di World Politics and International Relations.
«Mi sono divertito moltissimo e credo che sia stato qualcosa di unico che mi piacerebbe ripetere. Ho avuto l'opportunità di incontrare molte persone interessanti, con le quali ho condiviso parti della mia vita e ascoltato le loro storie. Sentirsi parte di una comunità così vivace e accogliente è stato davvero speciale. Non vedo l'ora di ripetere questa incredibile esperienza!» Alessandro Micaglio, studente di Economia.
«Lo Student Event ci ha permesso di riflettere su cosa significhi veramente essere cittadini dell'UE e su quanto sia importante votare per le elezioni dell'UE per plasmare il nostro futuro! Ho avuto il piacere di incontrare persone meravigliose e accoglienti che a Iași mi hanno fatto sentire come a casa. Ho imparato molto durante questo evento e sono felice di avervi preso parte!» Martina Posla, studentessa di Economia.
Lo Student Event è stato anche l'occasione di incontro fra i membri del Consiglio studentesco di EC2U:
«Abbiamo avuto l'opportunità sia di incontrarci di nuovo e di conoscere meglio i nostri colleghi e le nostre colleghe delle altre università sia di discutere i nostri prossimi passi come rappresentanti per promuovere ulteriormente l'Alleanza tra gli studenti, migliorare le opportunità e le attività offerte e rispondere alle esigenze degli studenti iscritti ai percorsi di Laurea Magistrale congiunti di EC2U. 9 UniPv students at the first EC2U Student Event in Iași
Nine students from the University of Pavia participated in the first EC2U Student Event "Shaping the Future through EU Elections", organised by the European University Alliance EC2U at the „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași (Romania) from May 15 to 17.
The event brought together more than 80 students from the 8 Partner Universities of the Alliance and two student representatives from the Ivan Franko University of Lviv, one of the associated partners of EC2U.
It focused on the European Elections, with the simulation of a debate of the European Parliament, which was coordinated by the local section of the ELSA student association of Iași.
«The Student Event at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Romania was a very well organised and enlightening event. We were able to experience a hypothetical European Parliamentary Debate in groups of fellow students from various countries. Additionally, other events were organised such as a city tour, sports activities, conferences, and so on. It was such a nice event and I made so many friends and learned a lot. I am extremely grateful to have been selected to participate.» Madelyn Kaye Bourdeau, student of World Politics and International Relations.
«The EC2U Student Event in Iași was an amazing experience. Since the EU Elections are just around the corner, we had the chance to discuss how we can increase the presence and the quality of voting processes. We worked on different teams, and I learned and enjoyed a lot from being part of this event.» Ismit Ara Jiniya, student of World Politics and International Relations.
«I had a fantastic time and I believe it was something unique that I would love to do again and again. I had the chance to meet many interesting people, with whom I shared parts of my life and listened to their stories. Feeling part of such a vibrant and welcoming community was truly special. «The student event allowed us to reflect on what being a EU citizen truly means, and how important it is to vote for the EU elections to shape our future! I had the pleasure to meet such wonderful and welcoming people that made Iași feel like home. Furthermore we took part in interesting activities such as workshops, sport activities, and a great city tour. I learnt a lot during this event and I am glad I was able to take part in it!» Martina Posla, student of Economics.
The Student Event was also an occasion for the members of the EC2U Student Council to meet in person:
«We had the opportunity both to meet again and get to know better our colleagues from the other Partner Universities, but also to discuss our next steps as student representatives to further promote the Alliance among students, improve the opportunities and the activities offered, and address the needs of the students enrolled in the EC2U Joint Master’s Degrees. We are looking forward to all the presentations of the Alliance we are planning for the upcoming academic year!» Lisa Schivalocchi and Claudio Clerici, EC2U Student Representatives for UNIPV.
