Nuovi Student Ambassador a bordo!

(English below) Si rinnova il progetto Student Ambassadors presso l'Università di Pavia, che vede protagonisti alcuni studenti provenienti da diverse parti del mondo. 12 studenti, iscritti a vari corsi di laurea insegnati interamente in lingua inglese, condividono la volontà di assistere i futuri studenti internazionali, guidarli nella loro esperienza nella comunità accademica e nella città di Pavia, e contemporaneamente rappresentare l'Università attraverso la creazione di contenuti social e blog. 

Maksat dal Turkmenistan, Afaf e Arooba dal Pakistan, Estella dall'Italia, Prince e Tinotenda dallo Zimbabwe, Samin e Mahdi dall'Iran, Ali dal Libano, Pedro dal Messico, Ismit dal Bangladesh e Madelyn dagli USA sono i nuovi membri del team.

Questi brillanti studenti, coordinati da Eleonora Lazzarin della UOC Marketing&Recruitment, sono stati selezionati per le loro abilità di comunicazione e creatività e hanno partecipato a una sessione di formazione prima di iniziare le loro attività sulla chat Unibuddy, che collega gli Ambassador con i futuri studenti internazionali. Oltre a questo, collaborando con la UOC Marketing&Recruitment, devono incontrarsi una volta al mese, condurre tour dei campus, partecipare a eventi promozionali, creare contenuti per i canali Instagram e Unibuddy, e partecipare a focus group con lo staff dell'Università per fornire feedback sui servizi e gli eventi organizzati dall'Università di Pavia. 

L'esperienza come Student Ambassador si dimostra formativa e arricchente, contribuendo al miglioramento delle soft skill e offrendo un ambiente di lavoro internazionale e dinamico. Inoltre, gli Ambassador godono di un dedicato workspace, uno status prioritario per partecipare a iniziative EC2U non didattiche e ricevono un open badge da aggiungere con orgoglio al proprio curriculum vitae.

L’iniziativa verrà presentata come una delle opportunità internazionali che UniPv offre durante l’evento Green and Healthy Campus: Sostenibilità e Benessere Studentesco dell'8 maggio 2024.

New student ambassadors on board

The Student Ambassadors project at the University of Pavia is being renewed, featuring some students from different parts of the world. These 12 students, enrolled in various degree programs taught entirely in English, share the willingness to assist new international students, guide them in their academic journey and life in the academic community and the city of Pavia, while also representing the university through the creation of social media content and blogs.

Maksat from Turkmenistan, Afaf and Arooba from Pakistan, Estella from Italy, Prince and Tinotenda from Zimbabwe, Samin and Mahdi from Iran, Ali from Lebanon, Pedro from Mexico, Ismit from Bangladesh, and Madelyn from the USA are the new members of the team.

These brilliant students, coordinated by Eleonora Lazzarin from the Marketing & Recruitment Office, were selected for their communication and creativity skills and have participated in a training session before starting their activities on the Unibuddy chat platform, which connects Ambassadors with future international students. In addition to this collaboration with the Marketing & Recruitment Office, they are required to meet once a month, conduct campus tours, participate in promotional events, create content for Instagram and Unibuddy channels, and take part in focus groups with university staff to provide feedback on services and events organized by the University of Pavia.

The experience as Student Ambassadors proves to be educational and enriching, contributing to the improvement of soft skills and offering an international and dynamic work environment. Furthermore, the Ambassadors enjoy a dedicated workspace, priority status for participating in non-academic EC2U initiatives, and receive an open badge to proudly add to their curriculum vitae.

The initiative will be presented as one of the international opportunities that UniPv offers during the Green and Healthy Campus event: Sustainability and Student Well-being on May 8th.
