The Master’s degree program in The Ancient Mediterranean World: History, Archaeology and Art renews its commitment to building an academic community founded on the celebration of diversity, mutual respect, and shared responsibility.

With this in mind, the program has added a section called “Help” to its website, providing a clear overview of existing student support services, designed to make them immediately accessible, especially to international students. In the last few years, thanks to daily interactions and numerous conversations with students, the richness that comes from a broad and diverse international community has become increasingly evident. The diversity of backgrounds, languages, and academic paths is in fact one of the key characteristics of the program.

In this regard, the Master’s Degree Program in “The Ancient Mediterranean World: History, Archaeology and Art” fully aligns with the University of Pavia’s broader commitment to promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for the entire university community.

“Help” is part of the commitment, not only of the CUG (cug@unipv.it), but also of the recently established Prorettorato alla Persona e al Diritto allo Studio (Pro-Rectorate for the Person and the Right to Education - prorettorato.persona@unipv.it), to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for the entire academic community.

Any form of gender-based violence, harassment, or discrimination – whether physical, verbal, psychological, or online – is totally against the values of the University. Such behavior undermines people’s dignity and well-being and will not be tolerated: it may lead to disciplinary action and, if necessary, reporting to the relevant authorities. In the same way, racism and all forms of discrimination based on ethnic origin, sexuality, political or religious beliefs are unacceptable.

This core commitment is supported by concrete measures: prevention and support services are available to the academic community and, in particular, to students:
