The Consul General of the State of Qatar visits the University of Pavia

On September 5th, the University of Pavia welcomed the visit of the Consul General of the State of Qatar, Dr. Abdullah Al Zeyara, and the Diplomat, Dr. Eisa Alrumaihi.

Professor Antonella Forlino, Vice-Rector for Internationalization, along with the Director of the Foundation Year Program, Professor Ilaria Fiorentini, and the staff of the Marketing and Recruitment Unit, Elena Fontana and Elena Voltan, received the guests in the splendid Foscolo Hall.

During the visit, Consul Abdullah Al Zeyara announced the intention to promote the enrollment of Qatari students in the Foundation Year program. This initiative will provide young Qataris with the opportunity to access quality education in Italy.

Furthermore, discussions were held regarding the possibility of establishing research and teaching collaborations between Qatari academic institutions and the University of Pavia. At the conclusion of the visit, the Consul also wrote a welcoming message to international students on the specially prepared panel in Cortile delle Statue.
