The BRIGHTS (Bringing Higher Education Institutes towards Sustainability) project organizes an international workshop at the University of Pavia, on Innovative Teaching Methodologies for Sustainability Education.

The workshop will take place over three days, from 18 to 20 September, involving students and teachers from partner universities: the University of Pavia as project coordinator, the University of Cyprus and the University of Cologne.

The project, which aims to enhance the leading role of universities in the green transition, will analyze the innovative teaching methodologies in use, trends and best practices from an international point of view through the workshop. Finally, participants will work to devise new approaches and methodologies that focus on the following key aspects:

  • Increased teacher-student interaction.
  • Greater teaching effectiveness, identifying students' needs for a better reception of the contents.

Who is the workshop for:

  • Students who are attending PhD, Master's and Master's degree courses, with a passion for sustainability issues and who are/have attended courses related to the topic.
  • Teachers and researchers interested in the topic of Innovative Teaching, or involved in courses related to sustainability.

The work will be held in English, therefore knowledge of the language at least level B2 is required, to ensure fluid communication and active involvement during the workshop.

To recognize the attendance and contribution of the participants in the workshop, an Open Badge, will be assigned to each of them, which means a digital certificate (which can be directly integrated on online platforms, e.g. LinkedIn) which will recognize the skills learned from this international experience.
The workshop is free; The project will provide lunches and coffee breaks during all work sessions.
