GAEIA Global Conversation 2023: Exploring the Impacts of Technology
We are glad to announce the second annual Global Conversation on the impacts and opportunities
deriving from technology, which will be held online on September 14, 2023, at 14:00 (CET).
Hosted by Stanford University and California Polytechnic State University, in collaboration with Strathmore
University in Nairobi, the Global Conversation is situated within the GAEIA - Global Alliance on Ethics and Impact of Artificial Intelligence - project launched in March 2021 from the Center for Human Rights and International Justice at Stanford University, in which the University of Pavia collaborates.
GAEIA brings together international and multi-disciplinary Ph.D. and advanced level scholars from over 25
countries around the world to engage in the collaborative study of ethical dilemmas associated with
technology use in the financial and education sectors.
The global conversation provides a virtual meeting space for researchers, industry professionals, and
government representatives to gather and share their work related to ethical risks and social impacts of AI
and advanced technologies, with special focus on barriers for access to capital and education, as well as
how we may leverage technology as a means of ensuring equitable access.
