White Coat Ceremony

The fifth edition of the "White Coat Ceremony" will be held on Friday 6 October 2023, at 15:00, in the Aula Magna of the University of Pavia.

The White Coat Ceremony first ever edition dated 2017 upon suggestion of the students themselves-over the years the tradition has continued until today.

The ceremony involves the delivering of the white coats for students from year 3 about to begin their clinical rotations in local hospitals.

The professors hand out the coats to all students, and at the end they recite together the famous Hippocratic Oath, the foundation of the moral ethics for future doctors.
