UniPv al 7° EC2U Forum a Poitiers
(English Below) Dal 16 al 19 ottobre 2023 si terrà il prossimo EC2U Forum presso l’Università di Poitiers, Francia (coordinatore dell’Alleanza).
Ogni sei mesi l’Alleanza Europea EC2U (European Campus of City-Universities) organizza l’EC2U Forum per riunire studenti, staff, cittadini, autorità locali e regionali allo scopo di rafforzare il dialogo sulle principali priorità sociali europei e per condividere buone pratiche.
L’evento segnerà la conclusione della fase pilota dell’Alleanza, celebrando i successi dei primi tre anni, e allo stesso tempo ne inaugurerà la fase consolidata che partirà ufficialmente il 1° novembre 2023.
Una considerevole delegazione composta da studenti (selezionati con un bando d’Ateneo: 14 ragazzi e ragazze), docenti e personale amministrativo dell’Università di Pavia parteciperà al Forum; saranno in 44. Parteciperà anche il Magnifico Rettore, prof. Francesco Svelto, la Pro-Rettrice all’Internazionalizzazione, prof.ssa Antonella Forlino, il Pro-Rettore alla Ricerca, prof. Federico Forneris, i responsabili del gruppo di lavoro “Towards a European Campus: EC2U Connect Center” coordinato da UniPv, prof.ssa Ilaria Poggiolini e prof.ssa Daniela Ovadia, il coordinamento amministrativo dell’Alleanza in capo al Centro GLOBEC, Alberto Forte, Giulia Falchi, Gaia Garancini, Chiara Danio, Andrea Pichelli e i referenti per l’Ateneo dei diversi gruppi di lavoro e task force: prof. Stefano Ramat, prof. ssa Rossella Nappi, prof.ssa Elisabetta Jezek, prof. Marco Morandotti, prof. Stefano Denicolai, prof. Stefano Sibilla, Michela Cobelli (UOC Mobilità Internazionale – Servizio Relazioni Internazionali), Johanna Seppala (UOC Admission Office).
Il Forum è occasione anche per incontrare i partner associati di progetto e collaborare al futuro delle attività. Per Pavia saranno presenti i rappresentanti del Comune di Pavia - consigliere Roberto Tilocca e Ufficio Europa (Maria Spitti, Elisa Preti), Polo Tecnologico di Pavia (Tommaso Mazzocchi), STEP ESN Pavia (Gianluca Cucurachi). Si uniscono anche i rappresentanti dei nuovi partner associati che nella fase consolidata si uniranno all’Alleanza: AIESEC (Saffar Andaloussi Yasmina), CUS Pavia (prof. Stefano Ramat), Policlinico San Matteo (Catherine Klersy).
UniPv parteciperà attivamente alle attività organizzate (conferenze, workshop, attività di networking e culturali) focalizzate sui temi riguardanti gli obiettivi di sviluppo sostenibile delle Nazioni Unite (UNSDGs).
Gli studenti avranno modo, durante il corso della settimana, di lavorare sulla preparazione della “Voice of Students”, tramite sessioni di brainstorming e workshop tematici, che permetteranno loro di riflettere sulla tematica delle differenze e disparità di genere e presenteranno il risultato del loro lavoro durante la sessione finale.
Durante la giornata del 18 ottobre, si terrà anche la finale della Science Battle di EC2U! La Science Battle è una sfida tra i ricercatori delle Università dell'Alleanza che provano a trovare una soluzione a un quesito di ricerca. La finale sarà tra, l’Università di Pavia e l’Università di Jena, vincitrici delle precedenti edizioni, che si sfideranno a colpi di quesiti scientifici. UniPv sarà rappresentata da Alessandro Bacchetta (Fisica), Rachele De Giuseppe (Dietetica e Nutrizione Clinica),Tullio Facchinetti (Ingegneria Informatica), Chiara Zanchi (Linguistica e Glottologia), Ludovico Pernazza (Matematica e Geometria) e Bruna Guerra (bioingegneria e bioinformatica).
Le sessioni del Forum saranno proiettate in diretta sul canale Youtube di EC2U.

The next EC2U Forum will be held from 16 to 19 October at the University of Poitiers, France (coordinator of the alliance).
Every six months the European Campus of City-Universities (EC2U) Alliance organizes the EC2U Forum to bring together students, staff, citizens, and local and regional authorities to strengthen dialogue on pressing European social issues and to share good practices.
The event will mark the conclusion of the Alliance's pilot phase, celebrating the successes of the first three years, and at the same time inaugurate its consolidated phase that will officially start on 1 November 2023.
A considerable delegation composed of students (selected with a University call: 14 boys and girls), teachers and administrative staff of the University of Pavia will participate in the Forum; there will be 44. The Rector, prof. Francesco Svelto, the Pro-Rector for Internationalization, prof. Antonella Forlino, the Pro-Rector for Research, prof. Federico Forneris, the heads of the working group "Towards a European Campus: EC2U Connect Center" coordinated by UniPv, Prof. Ilaria Poggiolini and Prof. Daniela Ovadia, the administrative coordination of the Alliance headed by the GLOBEC Center, Alberto Forte, Giulia Falchi, Gaia Garancini, Chiara Danio, Andrea Pichelli and the referents for the University of the various working groups and task forces: prof. Stefano Ramat, prof. Rossella Nappi, prof. Elisabetta Jezek, prof. Marco Morandotti, prof. Stefano Denicolai, prof. Stefano Sibilla, Michela Cobelli (UOC International Mobility – International Relations Service), Johanna Seppala (UOC Admission Office).
The Forum is also an opportunity to meet the associated project partners and collaborate on the future of the activities. For Pavia there will be representatives of the Municipality of Pavia - Europe Office (Roberto Tilocca, Maria Spitti, Elisa Preti), Polo Tecnologico di Pavia (Tommaso Mazzocchi), STEP ESN Pavia (Gianluca Cucurachi). The representatives of the new associated partners who will join the group in the consolidated phase are also joined: AIESEC (Saffar Andaloussi Yasmina), CUS Pavia (Stefano Ramat), Policlinico San Matteo (Catherine Klersy).
During the Forum sessions, participants will hold lectures, meetings, workshops, social and cultural activities, with a special focus on issues concerning the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
Staff and professors will take part in various meetings and 'roundtables' where ideas, proposals, and solutions to challenges of relevance to the EC2U Alliance will be discussed and developed.
Students will have the opportunity during the week, to work on the preparation of the "Voice of Students," through brainstorming sessions and thematic workshops, they will reflect on the issue of gender differences and disparities and will be able to present the result of their work during the final session.
During the day on October 18, the final edition of EC2U's Science Battle will also be held! The Science Battle is a challenge to which different researchers from the alliance universities try to tackle and find a solution to a research question. In this edition, the University of Pavia and the University of Jena, winners of previous editions, will compete with scientific questions. UNIPV will be represented by Alessandro Bacchetta (Physics), Rachele De Giuseppe (Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition), Tullio Facchinetti (Computer Engineering), Chiara Zanchi (Linguistics and Glottology), Ludovico Pernazza (Mathematics and Geometry) and Bruna Guerra (Bioengineering and Bioinformatics).
