La Prof.ssa Lisa Holle ospite di UniPv per parlare di farmacia clinica

(English below) La Farmacia Clinica e il lavoro in team multisciplinari e multiprofessionali (Medici, Infermieri, Farmacisti, Psicologi, Operatori Sociali, …) sono due aspetti fondamentali della organizzazione attuale e futura di ogni servizio sanitario.

n alcuni paesi questi due elementi sono molto sviluppati sia dal punto di vista didattico che da quello organizzativo con realtà in cui, per esempio in UK, 1 farmacista ogni 10 letti lavora in team con i medici ottenendo vantaggi di efficienza, efficacia ed economicità. In altri termini “chi più spende, meno spende, e ha un servizio migliore”.

Pavia è una delle poche realtà accademiche italiane in cui vengono offerti agli studenti di vari corsi di laurea (Medicina, Farmacia, Infermieristica, ecc.) degli insegnamenti e delle lezioni teorico-pratiche inerenti questi principi e questi metodi. L'adesione a questi corsi liberi è stata rilevante a dimostrazione dell'interesse degli studenti verso queste tematiche.

Le attività didattiche offerte sono realizzate in connessione e collaborazione con le più importanti società scientifiche internazionali e con le più importanti realtà accademiche e ospedaliere del mondo (Oxford, Birmingham, Sheffield, Leicester, Dublino, Parigi, HarVard, Boston, Connecticut, Monash Australia, ecc).

A gennaio 2025 sarà ospite del Dipartimento di Scienze del Farmaco dell'Università a Pavia la Prof.ssa Lisa Holle, PharmD, BCOP, FHOPA, FISOPP, Farmacista Clinica Oncologa, Past President della HOPA, esperta in clinica pratica e in simulazione, una degli autori del programma informatico MyDispense offerto dalla Monash University, Australia, a tutto il mondo accademico mondiale per preparare i futuri farmacisti in modo opportuno e pratico ad ascoltare il cittadino, ad aiutare il paziente, a dispensare il farmaco giusto, ad affrontare i minor ailments in community, a collaborare con i medici per una gestione in team dei pazienti.

Presso il Campus della Salute terrà seminari con letture, discussione di casi clinici e role play agli studenti di vari corsi di laurea dall'11 al 17 gennaio 2025. Sarà un'importante e utile esperienza avere un trainer e coach come la Prof.ssa Holle. 

Le lezioni saranno coordinate con le attività didattiche di alcuni corsi per gli studenti di Farmacia e CTF (e di Medicina che hanno espresso interesse), ma aperte a tutti gli interessati perché orientate all'approfondimento delle conoscenze in Clinical Pharmacy, all'uso del MyDispense, alla comunicazione in farmacia, al lavoro in team.

Giovedì 16 gennaio 2025, dalle ore 14:00, presso il Dipartimento di Scienze del Farmaco, si terrà inoltre un importante incontro dal titolo “Education & simulation programs as a way of developing possible collaborations. A day in the life of a clinical pharmacist: from the university to the practice”, rivolto al corpo docente interessato, sulle innovazioni che si stanno realizzando nell'ambito della professione del farmacista nel settore della farmacia clinica.

Clinical Pharmacy and work in multidisciplinary and multi-professional teams (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers...) are two fundamental aspects of the current and future organization of each health service.

In some countries these two elements are very developed both from the educational and organizational point of view with a reality where for example in UK where 1 pharmacist every 10 beds works in teams with doctors obtaining advantages of efficiency, effectiveness and economy. In other words, "who spends more, spends less and has a better service".

In Pavia we are one of the few Italian academic realities where, despite many difficulties, students are offered various degree courses (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, etc.) where these realities and principles and methods are taught in a theoretical and practical way. And looking at the numbers of students who voluntarily attend these free courses, one must infer that these themes and methodologies are appreciated and demanded.

The educational activities offered are carried out in connection and collaboration with the most important international scientific societies and with the most important academic and hospital realities of the world (Oxford, Birmingham, Sheffield, Leicester, Dublin, Paris, HarVard, Boston, Connecticut, Monash Australia, etc.).

In January 2025 will be a guest of the Department of Drug Sciences of the University of Pavia Prof. Lisa Holle, PharmD, BCOP, FHOPA, FISOPP, Pharmacist Oncologa Clinic, Past President of HOPA, expert in practice and simulation, one of the authors of the MyDispense computer program offered by Monash University, Australia, to the world’s academic world to prepare future pharmacists in a timely and practical way to listen to the citizen, to help the patient, to disperse the right drug, to address minor ailments in communities, to collaborate with the Medici for a team management of patients.

At the Health Campus, she will hold seminars with readings, discussion of clinical cases and role play to students from various degree courses from 11 to 17 January 2025. It will be an important and useful experience to have a trainer and coach like Prof. Holle.

The lessons will be coordinated with the teaching activities of some courses for Pharmacy and CTF students (and Medicine who have expressed interest), but open to all interested parties because they are oriented towards in-depth knowledge of Clinical Pharmacy, the use of MyDispense, communication in the pharmacy, team work.

An important meeting entitled "Education & simulation programs as a way of developing possible collaborations" will also be held on Thursday 16 January 2025, from 2.00 pm, at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. A day in the life of a clinical pharmacist: from the university to the practice", aimed at interested teaching staff, on the innovations that are being created within the profession of pharmacist in the clinical pharmacy sector.
