International Students Welcome Week
(English below) Nella settimana dal 18 al 22 settembre 2023 si svolgerà all’Università di Pavia la International Students Welcome Week, la settimana di accoglienza dedicata ai nuovi 1.300 studenti internazionali immatricolati ai corsi di Laurea o in scambio, per l’a.a. 2023-24.
Il servizio Relazioni Internazionali dell’Ateneo, in collaborazione con ST.E.P. Erasmus Student Network Pavia, ha pianificato un’intensa settimana ricca di eventi in presenza.
La mattina del 19 settembre in Aula del ‘400 dalle 10:00 si terrà una sessione di benvenuto con i saluti istituzionali da parte del Sindaco della città di Pavia, della Prorettrice all’Internazionalizzazione Prof.ssa Antonella Forlino, del delegato del Rettore all’Europa Prof. Matteo Alvaro, e di tutti gli uffici preposti all’accoglienza.
Successivamente nel Cortile delle Magnolie verrà offerto un pranzo a buffet; qui gli studenti stranieri potranno incontrare i rappresentanti delle associazioni studentesche e conoscere i principali servizi dell’Università.
Nel pomeriggio del 19 settembre alle 16:00 è prevista una Flag Parade, un corteo di studenti con le bandiere dei Paesi di tutto il mondo che attraverserà Corso Strada Nuova partendo dall'ingresso principale dell’Ateneo.
Il 21 settembre alle 17:00 presso l’Orto botanico verrà organizzato l’evento-aperitivo Homecoming, un momento di incontro tra gli studenti rientrati dalla mobilità Erasmus e gli studenti internazionali appena arrivati in Ateneo.
Anche CUS Pavia darà il suo benvenuto, venerdì 22 settembre dalle 15:00, con un evento sportivo che permetterà ai nuovi arrivati di cimentarsi in varie discipline sportive.
Inoltre, l’associazione studentesca ST.E.P. ESN Pavia ha organizzato vari eventi di socializzazione: con il tour della città di Pavia e dell’Oltrepò, la Karaoke Night e il Welcome Party, gli studenti internazionali avranno la possibilità di entrare nel vivo della loro nuova esperienza come studenti dell’Università di Pavia.

In the week from 18 to 22 September 2023, the International Students Welcome Week will take place at the University of Pavia, the welcoming week dedicated to the new 1300 international enrolled or exchange students for the academic year 2023-24.
The University's International Relations Office, in collaboration with ST.E.P. Erasmus Student Network Pavia has planned an intense week full of in-person events.
On the morning of September 19th in the Aula del '400 a welcome session will be held from 10am with institutional greetings from the Mayor of the city of Pavia, the Vice-Rector for Internationalization Prof. Antonella Forlino, the Rector's delegate for Europe Prof. Matteo Alvaro, and all the offices responsible for welcoming students. Then, a buffet lunch will be offered in the Cortile delle Magnolie; here international students will be able to meet representatives of student associations and learn about the main University facilities.
A Flag Parade is scheduled for the afternoon of September 19th at 4pm, a parade of students with the flags of countries from all over the world which will cross Corso Strada Nuova starting from the main entrance of the University.
The Homecoming aperitif event will be organized on 21 September at 5pm in the Botanical Garden, a moment of meeting between students returning from Erasmus mobility and international students who have just arrived at the University.
The Sport Center CUS Pavia will also welcome international students on Friday 22 September from 3pm, with a sporting event that will allow new arrivals to try their hand at various sports disciplines.
Furthermore, the student association ST.E.P. ESN Pavia has organized various social events: with the tour of the city of Pavia and the Oltrepò, the Karaoke Night and the Welcome Party, international students will have the opportunity to get to the heart of their new experience as students of the University of Pavia.
