Incontro con i proff. Simon Bell e Jenni Ilomäki della Monash University (Australia)
(English below) Lunedì 7 luglio 2025, alle ore 16:00, arriveranno a Pavia il prof. Simon Bell e la prof.ssa Jenni Ilomäki, farmmacisti accademici della Monash University, che sono già stati a Pavia e che hanno ospitato ben tre nostri studenti in Erasmus per la tesi.
Sono in viaggio di ritorno alla Monash dopo un congresso a Prato e hanno piacere di ripassare da Pavia per incontrare ancora studenti e docenti e discutere nuove possibilità di collaborazione.
Alle ore 17:30, presso l'Aula Franco Dompé del Dipartimento di Scienze del Farmaco, terranno una breve lecture inerente i principali temi da loro affrontati nella propria attività di ricerca: farmacoepidemiologia, farmaci per anziani, ruolo del farmacista per la riconciliazione e il buon uso di neurolettici e psicofarmaci. Il prof. Bell ha scritto, infatti, le linee guida australiane su questo topic e vorrebbe collaborare con l'Ateneo di Pavia per scrivere un qualcosa di adattabile all'Italia, visto che attualmente non esistono linee guida italiane complete su questo topic. L'intervento si concentrerà in particolare sull'importanza del ruolo del farmacista nella gestione della terapia negli anziani.
Questo seminario è l’occasione per permettere un incontro tra studenti ed esperti farmacisti e tra soggetti coinvolti nella farmacoterapia geriatrica ed esperti di polifarmacoterapia geriatrica; nonché per gli studenti di prendere contatto con docenti della più importante Facoltà di farmacia del mondo per organizzare stage, intership o progetti di tesi.
Il seminario rappresenta, inoltre, un'opportunità per migliorare le informazioni sul ruolo del farmacista clinico e ospedaliero, ruolo centrale in molti processi di cura, assistenza e terapia, sulla base di esperienze e di collaborazioni internazionali, che hanno recentemente dimostrato come l'Europa guardi al futuro ruolo del farmacista nei vari sistemi sanitari nazionali.
Gli interventi saranno moderati dal prof. Marco Trabucchi (Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata") e dal prof. Stefano Govoni (Università di Pavia).

On Monday the 7th of July at 4pm will arrive in Pavia Professor Simon Bell and Prof Jenni Ilomäki, academic farmmacisti, from Monash University, who have already been to Pavia and have hosted our 3 students for Erasmus thesis.
They will come back to Monash after a conference in Prato and they would like to come back to Pavia, meet more students and teachers and discuss new possibilities of collaboration.
At 17.30, in Room Franco Dompé of the Department of Drug Sciences, they will give a short lecture on the main topics they have addressed in their research activity: pharmacoepidemiology, drugs for the elderly, role of the pharmacist for reconciliation and the good use of neuroleptics and psychodrugs. Professor Bell actually wrote the Australian guidelines on this topic and would like to collaborate with the University of Pavia to write something adaptable to Italy, since there are no complete Italian guidelines on this topic.
The intervention will focus in particular on the importance of the role of the pharmacist in the management of therapy in the elderly.
This seminar is an opportunity to allow a meeting between students and experienced pharmacists and between subjects involved in geriatric pharmacotherapy and experts of geriatric polypharmacotherapy. It is also an opportunity for students to get in touch with professors from the world’s most important faculty of pharmacy to organize internships, internships or thesis projects.
The seminar is also an opportunity to improve information on the role of clinical and hospital pharmacists, who play a central role in many care and therapy processes, on the basis of experiences and international collaborations that have also recently shown how Europe looks at the future role of the pharmacist in the various national health systems.
The interventions will be moderated by Prof. Marco Trabucchi (Tor Vergata University of Rome) and Prof. Stefano Govoni (University of Pavia).
