Harvey White Coat Ceremony 2026
Venerdì 9 ottobre 2026, alle ore 15:00, nell’Aula Magna dell’Università di Pavia (Corso Strada Nuova, 65), si terrà l’ottava edizione della White Coat Ceremony, la tradizionale cerimonia dedicata agli studenti del corso di Medicina in lingua inglese.
La prima edizione della White Coat Ceremony è stata organizzata nel 2017, su impulso degli stessi studenti. Da allora, l’iniziativa è diventata un appuntamento che accompagna un momento significativo del loro percorso di formazione.
Durante la cerimonia, i docenti del corso consegneranno il camice bianco agli studenti che hanno raggiunto il terzo anno e che si preparano a iniziare il periodo di tirocinio negli ospedali locali.
La consegna del camice segna così simbolicamente il passaggio alla fase della formazione clinica e l'inizio dell'esperienza degli studenti nelle strutture ospedaliere.

On Friday, October 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM, the Aula Magna of the University of Pavia (Corso Strada Nuova, 65) will host the eighth edition of the White Coat Ceremony, the traditional ceremony dedicated to students enrolled in the English-taught Medicine and Surgery degree programme.
The first White Coat Ceremony was held in 2017, following an initiative by the students themselves. Since then, the event has become a tradition marking an important milestone in their medical education.
During the ceremony, faculty members will present white coats to third-year students who are preparing to begin their clinical training in local hospitals.
The presentation of the white coat symbolically marks the transition to the clinical phase of their education and the beginning of their experience in hospital settings.
